It provides a hospital based
radio broadcasting service to the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) in Cardiff.
Run entirely by volunteers, RG’s main objective is to make the patients stay in hospital
as pleasant and stress free as possible.
How can I tune in?
RG is a free service and is easily accessible (through the Patientline bedside TV and telephone service) to all 900 beds. In addition, broadcasts can be heard through speakers located in certain areas of UHW thereby enabling visitors and staff to enjoy the service.

Generally, live shows are broadcast from Monday to Friday, 12.00 Midday through to 10.00 pm and over the weekend from 09.00 am through to 10.00 pm. Outside these times, a selection of uninterrupted music is available Click on the red Schedule button to the left for more details.
When was Radio Glamorgan founded?
RG was founded in 1967 at the Cardiff Royal Infirmary.
In 1974 the station moved to a basement studio at the University Hospital of Wales
and in 1999, after much fundraising, secured enough money to have a purpose built
studio on the main thoroughfare through UHW.
