Racing Fever Takes Over at RG

The first fundraising event of 2010 takes place on Friday 19th March at St Fagans Cricket Club when RG presenters and pundits will gather to have some fun at the races. Tickets are available to RG members, friends, family and anyone else who’d like to come along and have some fun while at the same time supporting a good cause (For an extra £5 you can even become a racehorse owner for the evening!). A part of the evening will also be dedicated to presenting the RG 2009 Awards. Interested in coming along?
RG Make ‘Station of the Year Award’ Top Ten!
The Hospital Broadcasting Association have just announced the shortlists for this
year’s annual awards given to the best hospital radio stations throughout the UK
and Radio Glamorgan has reached the final top ten in the category for ‘Station of
the Year’.
RG Chairwoman Clare Sinclair said, “We’re delighted to have made the shortlist as this reflects all the hard work and planning our volunteer presenters put into their shows. I would also like to thank our Programme Controller, Andrew Jones, for all his efforts in putting our award submission together.”
The final winner will be announced at the HBA Awards ceremony in Glasgow on Saturday 27th March.
In 2008, RG won a silver award for best specialist show and in 2009 we won the gold award for best station promotion.
