Two of the team from the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) Takeover are taking part in a run with a difference to raise money for the charity.

On Saturday 11th August, TCT Youth Support Co-ordinator Anna alongside the show’s producer Jamie will be participating in the Llanelli Colour Splash.

Both will be taking on the 5K course, whilst getting covered in powdered paint.

Anna said “I wanted to do something to raise money as I see firsthand where donations go; I was not jumping out of a plane or doing a marathon so this I thought would be a great alternative – even though I’m not a runner!”

Jamie added “It sounded fun and being honest, I didn’t really have a choice in the matter, but it’s all for a good cause and I’m really looking forward to it”

The money raised by the two from the event will go towards helping Teenagers and Young People with cancer.

The TCT Cardiff unit based at the University Hospital of Wales is the only unit in Wales and is dedicated to treating cancer patients of the younger age, whilst attempting to make their stay more bearable during treatment.

Anna and Jamie are trying to reach a target of at least £500 so if you can help them on their way and give them some encouragement, visit their team JustGiving homepage and then click on either Anna or Jamie’s name to donate.
