Our very own Jill Brinkworth (Heard on a Saturday afternoon presenting the Saturday Matinee… “The show that’s longer than a Shakespeare play”) is taking on a mammoth cycling challenge this summer!
Jill is one of 70 riders participating in the ‘Woody’s Lodge annual charity cycle ride 2023‘, which sees them visit each of the D-Day Normandy memorial sites over a 4 day period.
Woody’s Lodge provides space and time’ supporting military Veterans, their families, and emergency first responders. They listen, provide support and offer engaging activities for those who may be struggling with everyday life challenges.
Ahead of her challenge, Jill said,
“This is a big ask for me to do this cycle event – It’s more than 160 miles but it’s for a wonderful cause – helping veterans who serve or have served our country and the emergency services personnel too.
