Hospital Radio Glamorgan is one of the top three hospital radio stations in the UK for a second consecutive year!

At a ceremony held at the University of Winchester on Saturday evening (13th April), we picked up the bronze award in the ‘Station of the year’ category at the National Hospital Broadcasting Association Awards, an event which recognises the work that goes on at hospital radio stations across the country.

Chairman Jamie Pritchard said:

“This is an incredible achievement for the whole team and rewards the hard work that’s put into the station every week. We were so pleased to be shortlisted in the top 10 but to pick up the bronze award in the category is just amazing and I’m so proud of every single volunteer for the commitment they give!”

Luke Davies, who helped put the entry together added:

“We did it! I’m always proud of the a volunteer at Hospital Radio Glamorgan, and the ceremony has been a great celebration of the work that goes on at stations across the UK not just in Wales.”

Jamie added:

“This award is YOURS as much as it is ours, thank you for your support.”

A special mention to our Welsh counterparts, Radio BGM who picked up the bronze award in the category of Station Promotion and Rookwood Sound who picked up the bronze award in the Best Newcomer category.
