HBA Awards announced

HBA Patron Alan Dedicoat has announced this year finalists in the Hospital Broadcasting Association awards.

Radio Glamorgan has six nominations, with The Celtic Girls aiming to hold on to the Gold awarded last year to Glamorgan’s Nic Clarke and the Daydreamers in the Best Programme with Multiple Presenters Category.

Clare Sinclair, Chairwoman of Radio Glamorgan commented: “The nominations are recognition of the hard work and high standards of our volunteers. Receiving six nominations is a wonderful start to 2015 and continues the exciting momentum Radio Glamorgan has established in recent months; which has included launching our refurbished studio, our on-line ‘app’ and a new website. Congratulations to all our dedicated volunteers.”

The ceremony this year will be in Newcastle at the end of March, when the Bronze, Silver and Gold winners will be revealed for the nine categories as well as the winners of the annual Fundraiser of the Year and John Whitney Award.
